A company specializing in crop protection products looks forward to offering a new herbicide, which provides farmers a new burndown option ahead of the 2021 crop season.
“We’re excited to announce the registration of Reviton herbicide,” says Aaron Locker, vice president of sales for HELM Agro.
“Reviton is a non-selective herbicide with a new proprietary active ingredient in the U.S. for pre-plant burndown of broadleaf and grass weeds in corn, soybeans, wheat, and cotton,” Locker says.
Reviton features a new active ingredient, helping farmers manage herbicide resistance. Locker also makes note of additional characteristics, which set this product against the rest.
“The other thing specific to Reviton is not only it’s broad spectrum control, but (it’s) fast acting at an extremely low use rates,” says Locker. “Growers aren’t going to have to carry a lot of product to control the weeds they need to control. And let’s face it, growers like to plant 90 million acres of corn in couple weeks, if they can, so they don’t like to wait for their burndown program to work before they can get back into the field. Reviton fits that bill.”
“In more than 700 North American product development trials and regulatory studies, Reviton has demonstrated extremely promising performance ratings in burndown control,” reports HELM Agro.
