Since most of the policies from the previous farm bill have done well for farmers, the main goal of the 2023 Farm Bill writing process is to keep most of the previous legislation intact. Iowa Farm Bureau President Brent Johnson said farmers want to keep most of those established programs intact.
Johnson said the IFB will continue to listen to farmers everywhere for what they want to see in the next farm bill.
Johnson added that this bill doesn?t just impact farmers- in fact, a large portion of the bill is the SNAP Program, which provides aid to families who are in need of food.
