U.S. Export Sales Report (11-3-22)

by | Nov 3, 2022 | 5 Ag Stories, News

Not much excitement in this week?s export sales. The corn and soybean numbers were both neutral, and the only disappointment came from soybean meal and oil sales. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride provided a breakdown of this week?s U.S. Export Sales Report.

Once again, there were no flash sales. This is a far cry from three weeks ago, where we had three consecutive days of strong flash sales. However, McBride said he wouldn?t be surprised to see those pick up again soon.

Additionally, soybeans are performing very well so far and should be on pace to meet the USDA?s expectations. On the other hand, McBride said corn isn?t performing nearly as well.

We may not see the USDA make adjustments for a while yet, though. McBride said there are many factors, like the Mississippi River and global demand, that they?ll have to consider first before they make any moves.

McBride also provided some advice for Iowa producers.
