This week?s report was neutral, which is definitely an improvement over the last few weeks. Sales continue to flow, which is a welcome change from the worries we had several weeks ago. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride provided a breakdown of this week?s U.S. Export Sales Report.
McBride said this is exactly what we want to see at this time of year, and now we want to see if there?s going to be some consistency with these sales.
While these sales are good to see, there are still plenty of concerns surrounding the effects of the shipping delays from the Mississippi River. McBride said we could see some cancellations due to the lack of timeliness from our exports.
McBride added that most of the risk for cancellations comes from frequent exporters like Mexico and China.
McBride also provided some advice for Iowa producers.
