While nearing the end of 2022, it is a good time to reflect on the past year and of course start to think about next year and the next growing season. It won?t be long until farmers are beginning to make plans for planting in 2023.

The early life cycle of a corn or soybean plant is very important to that plant?s health and potential for growth and development. Tyler Steinkamp, a Winfield United Agronomist, says that quality care for plants very early in their life cycle is essential.

With input costs very high, farmers are looking for efficiency and efficacy in all areas of their operation. Steinkamp says that because of high costs, pairing the right inputs with the correct hybrid is pivotal.

As with corn, extra care should be paid to soybeans early in their growth cycle says Steinkamp.
