More farmers have adopted conservation practices and techniques on their farming operations in hopes of improving water quality, lessening soil erosion, or just improving efficiency on their farm. Ben Porepp, a conservation agronomist with the Iowa Soybean Association, says that his work can help to guide interested farmers towards implementing conservation practices on their farms.
Porepp says that more farmers have been reaching out to him and other conservation agronomists for questions and help in implementing conservation techniques.

Data tools and pictures can go a long way towards helping a farmer decide to implement conservation practices on their farm but seeing results in person is often the best way to convince a farmer that might be on the fence.
