As we head into the holiday weekend, the weekly U.S. Export Sales Report didn?t provide much to write home about. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride provided a breakdown of the export numbers.
While it may seem like the markets could be waiting for the new year, we have to remember that the grain markets operate on a different schedule- the new marketing year started in September. As a result, McBride said this should be the prime time for exports.
Looking ahead to the new calendar year, McBride said soybeans look good, but corn is lagging behind.
McBride also provided some advice for Iowa producers.
