This week’s export sales report brings us to an interesting situation- now that the numbers are aligned with the USDA’s export goals, there isn’t much news to react to. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride said this was another great week for corn sales.
McBride said the bean sales were above the 5-year average as well, which was largely due to countries outside of China making soybean purchases.
Moving forward, McBride said the markets will probably play it safe for a while.
However, that’s not to say that there aren’t still any global factors in play. McBride said there will still be a significant focus on the weather and crops down in South America.
