Channel Seed helps update barns at Louisa County fairgrounds

Our state’s county fairs are at the heart of our local communities, and many of those fairs have been around for a long time. As such, those buildings also need updates as time takes its toll. When Louisa County’s old livestock barns became unsafe, several local volunteers helped raise funds for a new $1.3 million barn. One of those volunteers was Channel SeedPro Kale Boysen, who said that the new facility will benefit county youth for many years to come.

Boysen said the community rallied behind the project and helped in any way possible.

Boysen said his position as a Channel SeedPro helped him secure a Channeling Good donation for the Louisa County Fair Association, which helped them add new pens that are now in place for the next fair, giving young exhibitors a safer space for their livestock.

Boysen said the new barn is going to be a great benefit for more than just the county 4-H and FFA members- in fact, several events have been hosted out there already.

Boysen also said he is thankful for the team at Channel Seed for choosing to fund their project, and he enjoyed getting to collaborate with the company as they worked on the project together.
