While the weather is not too different from the usual in South America, the economy in Argentina is seeing some rough times. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the latest weather conditions in Brazil and Argentina.
McBride said planting progress in Brazil is slightly ahead of schedule.
Things are much different down in Argentina. The economy is suffering, and instead of just lowering the export tax like usual, they have eliminated it entirely for a while in order to get things moving in a positive direction.
As a result of the eliminated export tax, China has made purchases from Argentina, even as the U.S. tries to continue trade talks.
