State Farm Insurance released information at the end of October ranking Iowa 3rd in the nation for deer vs. vehicle collisions. According to State Farm, one of every 72 or so Iowa drivers will strike a deer with their vehicle in the next 12 months.
However, DNR Deer Biologist Thomas Litchfield disputes those numbers.
