One of the most influential diseases in the swine industry is porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2). What makes it tricky to handle is the fact that there are two strains to worry about: PCV2a and PCV2d, with the latter having taken over as the predominant genotype in U.S. swine herds. Dr. JD Fiechtner of Boehringer Ingelheim said INGELVAC CIRCOFLEX AD is the first and only commercial vaccine to include both major strains.
Dr. Fiechtner said INGELVAC CIRCOFLEX AD takes the guesswork out of deciding which strain to treat for.
As PCV2 continues to evolve, Dr. Fiechtner said they are equipped to keep improving their products to change with the disease landscape.
