FULL INTERVIEW: Dan Froehlich, Anuvia Plant Nutrients
Officials with Anuvia Plant Nutrients are excited for the company to continue its growth this year. Dan Froehlich, vice president of product development for Anuvia Plant Nutrients, says 2021 was a productive year with two key partnerships.
?We?ve had big changes in our company,? said Froehlich. ?The first was a collaboration with Mosaic Company. They are marketing one of our other products, along with their MicroEssentials product. That was a big boost for us to add validity to our company being a startup.?
?The other one is we just announced a collaboration with Novozymes. They will be using one of their advanced microbial products on our fertilizer product instead of using the seed delivery, which is more common for them. So those are two huge developments on our side which will help us help retailers and farmers.?
Froehlich talks about challenges in the short-term.
?Shipping is a challenge. We haven?t had a problem getting raw materials because we use organic waste, and we use it relatively locally to make our fertilizer. Getting products shipped around, getting it to the right places, and finding storage is always a challenge when you are first starting up.?
Froehlich says their primary product is SymTRX.
?It?s a 17-1-0 with 20% sulfur. It?s used on corn, cotton, soybeans, rice, wheat and some of the northern crops up into Canada as well.?
Froehlich adds Anuvia Plant Nutrients has a big focus on Iowa producers each year.
?Iowa is always an important market. If you don?t have a product that works well in corn and soybeans, you?re probably not going to be able to be successful. We?ve put a lot of emphasis on research testing and development in Iowa.?
