While there are a lot of factors that are exerting influence on the grains in the ag marketplace, including the crude oil price and the stock market, the main influence remains the weather forecast. While the forecast is positive in terms of crop conditions and growth, that favorable forecast is keeping pressure on corn and soybeans in the market as yield expectations are beginning to climb.
That is Jim McCormick, co-founder of AgMarket.net, who says that the recently released StoneX August 2026 producer survey features a higher estimate for corn yield than the latest USDA projection.
The August WASDE report will be published by USDA on August 12th and will feature the latest USDA yield estimates.
