October is National Manufacturing Month, and manufacturers are incredibly important for the ag industry. Manufacturing is also a big part of Iowa’s economy, with over 220,000 Iowans employed in the manufacturing industry. Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra said manufacturing also adds $38B to the economy in Iowa alone.
Feenstra said the reconciliation bill included measures to bring manufacturing jobs to small towns and keep them there, which stimulates local economic growth.
While the Big Beautiful Bill was focused on bringing manufacturing to the United States in general, Feenstra said it’s his priority to make sure plenty of those jobs make it to Iowa.
