The Bio Innovations Midwest Conference just concluded in Omaha, Nebraska, where bio-based products and new ideas took center stage. It was the perfect place for the National Corn Growers Association to announce the winners of its 5th Consider Corn Challenge, finding game-changing new uses for field corn without detracting from an existing corn market. Chad Epler, chair of NCGA’s Research and New Uses Action Team, said the conference is a great place to incubate ideas.
Epler said this year’s Consider Corn Challenge winners are leaders in bio-based innovations.
Epler said these efforts are all building more interest and credibility for corn-based bioproducts.
