by | Aug 15, 2022 | 5 Ag Stories, News

We all know one thing that is constantly affecting our crops, and that is climate change. While many people are looking for answers on how to limit the effects of climate change, Iowa State University agronomists and engineers are focusing their expertise on soybean effects through an innovative in-field research chamber.

Iowa State University agronomy professor Danny Singh explains what the innovative in-field research chamber is and what it does. He talks about the sole purpose of the research chamber for the soybeans and how they will conduct experiments with climate change.

Singh talks about what this means for farmers who grow soybeans in the future. He briefly mentions their partnership with the mechanical engineers at the University. He also mentions how they are working together to gain data on the soybeans to maintain the best yield through high temp. conditions.

Singh further discusses their parentship with the mechanical engineers through the Capstone Program at Iowa State University. He talks about his relationship with professor Heise and how they worked together to find a solution to the problem of climate change and its effects on soybeans.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the rest of this conversation as Singh discusses more about what this research chamber means for agronomists and farmers in the future.
