This week’s export sales were neutral on the marketplace, but the sales were actually still very good for this time of year in the corn and wheat markets. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the latest export numbers from the USDA.
McBride said the pattern of consistent flash sales has continued as well.
Sales to China have been supporting that success in the corn and wheat markets, and that’s in large part due to the continued discount that U.S. corn has to Brazil.
While the soybean numbers weren’t as strong, McBride said the turmoil in Argentina could bolster that marketplace too.
