South American Weather and Crop Update (11-14-23)

by | Nov 14, 2023 | 5 Ag Stories, News

It’s a tale of two countries right now in South America. Brazil is too dry for planting, and Argentina is too wet. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the current weather patterns.

In the longer-term forecasts, both countries are expected to get some nice rains, but then it will start to dry out again.

Planting progress in Brazil is still behind the averages, but it is at the very least still steadily moving along.

In Argentina, McBride said they just started planting soybeans, but corn is making decent progress.
