We have often discussed the importance of getting our products and our people out in front of potential and existing trade partners. The pandemic changed how we did business for a little while, but now that things have eased, face-to-face meetings are important once again.
With Iowa being the second largest Ag exporter in the country, it is vitally important to our state that our customers see us, and appreciate the quality of the products we can bring to them. That is why Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig has been on one trade trip across the Pacific already this year and will be going back across the Pacific again this week to talk about Iowa?s goods in other countries.
Secretary Naig talks about the recent trade trip that he joined to Japan and South Korea.
Naig talks about the fact that the pandemic and hosts of other global issues have positioned the United States and Iowa to offer quality products, reliably.
The Secretary now is traveling to the Philippines and Vietnam to conduct another trade mission. He sees a lot of potential for growth through a strong relationship with them.
