The Farm Progress Show is a huge display for ag innovation every year, and those products aren?t just for show. Input costs are still at very high levels, but new, more efficient technologies can help farmers cut costs elsewhere to make up for it. Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra saw all of these innovative efforts and talked with farmers about what they still need to see.
Feenstra said that these products don?t just look to reduce costs- they?re also trying to add value to our agricultural products.
Many people are worried when food prices rise, and for good reason. However, they also tend to shift blame to the ag industry, when it usually turns out that we are on the short end of the stick. Feenstra said it?s important for us to tell our story so people understand why their food might become more expensive.
