There haven’t been too many road blocks for the crops in Iowa this year. While some storms have been severe, the plentiful weather events have provided plenty of rain. Landus Cooperative Technical Agronomist Dan Bjorklund said he has seen varying corn heights across the state.
Bjorklund said soybeans are usually still small at this time of year, and that is the case right now.
Bjorklund said the theme of this year’s planting season was all about whether or not farmers were able to plant in a suitable seed bed.
Overall, Bjorklund said the crops are heading into the middle of the season in excellent condition.
