Benson Hill is providing more options and flexibility for soybean growers with Benson Hill Direct, a new method for soybean farmers to grow Benson Hill soybeans outside of its traditional closed loop contract system.
That is Benson Hill Vice President of Product Management Aaron Robinson.
Robinson says that Benson Hill Direct allows more growers to apply the Benson Hill soybean technology on their farms.
In addition to Benson Hill Direct, the company does still offer its traditional contract programs with growers. Robinson says there are still a limited number of contract opportunities available for 2024.
Another new venture for Benson Hill is expansion in the animal feed market.
Robinson says that the company has invested in infrastructure in Iowa because of the state’s importance to the Benson Hill model.
