Innovation is incredibly important to agriculture. With an exponentially growing population, farmers have to be able to increase their production efficiency in order to feed the world. However, we know that change can be pretty slow, especially in the ag industry. That?s why Landus Cooperative made its new Innovation Connector in downtown Des Moines. With its goal and its location, Landus President & CEO Matt Carstens says they?re able to ?change the game.?
As evidenced by its name, the Innovation Connector aims to connect new technologies with producers and consumers. Carstens said he hopes they will be able to lead discussions and bridge the gap between farmers and consumers with a common goal: producing high-quality food and other ag products for the world to enjoy.
Words alone can?t get everything done, though- somebody needs to take action. Carstens said that?s why they are using their position as a farmer-led coop.
Carstens said that the easy-to-reach location will also help them in their goal.
The possibilities for change are endless with the Innovation Connector. Carstens provided some things that farmers and consumers can look forward to seeing from them.
Carstens added that producers can check out their website for event information.
