Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says he?s glad President Biden is turning to biofuels to provide consumers with a more affordable fuel option.
During his weekly press call with farm reporters Thursday morning, Senator Grassley lauded Biden?s announcement this week that he plans to lift the ban on sales of E15 this summer.
Grassley and fellow Iowa Senator Joni Ernst have been vocal champions of year-round E15, saying the blend could help ease the burden at the pump.
Since the president?s E15 announcement, it?s sparked a debate between food vs. fuel. Grassley was asked how he feels about the argument that increased E15 sales could possibly make food prices increase higher.
Grassley?s comments come as he continues his 99-county tour across the state.
