Iowa Corn is the entitlement sponsor of the first ever NASCAR race in Iowa and the race now has an official name. The Iowa Corn 350, Powered by Ethanol will take the track at Iowa Speedway in Newton on Sunday June 16th. Stan Nelson, a farmer from Middletown and the Iowa Corn Promotion Board President, says the race was a natural partner for Iowa Corn.

Nelson says the Iowa Corn Promotion Board has three objectives: market development and protection; research; and farmer, producer, and consumer education. He says the Iowa Corn 350, Powered by Ethanol will help immensely with the goal of educating consumers.

Nelson says the race will be a great platform for showcasing the benefits of ethanol. In fact, fans will be able to see the benefits of ethanol in action on the track. Nelson says that there are a lot of fans who don’t realize that NASCAR stock cars are powered by an ethanol blend in their gas tanks.

Grandstand tickets and camping for the Iowa Corn 350, Powered by Ethanol, are sold out and only a select number of tickets remain for the NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series races on the World’s Fastest Short Track.

The Iowa Corn 350, Powered by Ethanol, will take place at 6 p.m. CT, Sunday, June 16th, 2024. To learn more about Iowa Corn and the farmers that grow it, visit www.iowacorn.org.
