The 2024 National Pork Industry Forum is in the books. Scott Hays, Immediate Past President of the National Pork Producers Council, said the challenges of the past year made it especially important for producers to gather together.
Dr. Anna Forseth, director of animal health with NPPC, said the traceability resolution is an important step producers are taking.
Dr. Forseth said the traceability resolution could take a few years to make it through the legislative process and get implemented.
Hays added that NPPC members, like most people in the ag industry, are very focused on seeing a new farm bill this year.
