The farm bill creation process is in full swing, and all farmers, ag groups, and ag industry members have their preferences for what makes it into the bill.
On Wednesday, United States Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Joni Ernst (R-IA) of Iowa hosted John Boozman (R-AR), the ranking senate ag committee member, for a roundtable discussion about the farm bill. After hearing from various ag groups in attendance the senators answered questions from the media.
Senator Boozman was asked if the farm bill can be passed on time.
Senator Grassley was asked what trade priorities he has for the farm bill.
Senator Ernst was asked about E15 and if it should be available year-round for consumers.
Wednesday?s roundtable discussion was held at Iowa State University Research Park and was hosted by Pivot Bio.
