From the Farm Bill to Proposition 12, the Iowa Farm Bureau has asked its members to step up in a major way this year. At this year’s annual meeting in Des Moines, IFB President Brent Johnson said he’s been proud to see just how well the members took care of business, especially with another year of excellent membership growth.
Johnson said that advocacy from IFB members is incredibly important, especially since somebody else might try to tell our story- and not in a good way- if we don’t do it ourselves.
This year has also been a great year for the addition of younger members to the IFB, and Johnson said that impact can be seen across the state.
Johnson added that words of support are great, but action is what we really need right now, especially since 2024 is shaping up to be a very impactful year for the ag industry.
