U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Chair Randy Spronk participated in his first Cattle Industry Convention last week in Orlando. Spronk said he had conversations with cattle producers and other beef industry leaders about the importance of expanding global demand for U.S. beef.
Spronk and members of the USMEF staff presented at the Feb. 1 meeting of the Beef Checkoff Program’s International Marketing Committee, where producers were eager to talk about the current state of U.S. beef exports and where new opportunities for export growth are emerging. Spronk emphasized the importance of beef variety meat exports in maximizing the value of every animal.
