The USDA?s December WASDE report on Thursday was pretty uneventful for corn and soybeans.
The WASDE report kept both corn and soybean ending stocks unchanged. Corn stocks remain at 1.493 billion bushels and soybean stocks at 340 million bushels. The USDA did increase wheat stocks to 598 million bushels. That?s up from last month?s 583 million bushels. At the Board of Trade on Thursday, corn futures closed 3-to-4 cents higher, soybeans were up 2 1/4 cents to 3 1/2 cents per bushel, and wheat futures were down 15-to-17 cents.
