This week?s report was not great for the grain markets. Corn, soybeans, and wheat all had poor export sales numbers. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride said there wasn?t really any good news in this report.
Part of the issue with export sales right now is that Brazil and Argentina are finishing up their harvest and shipping their crops out. McBride said that tends to slow things down on our end at this time of year.
However, the big news today will come from the Quarterly Grain Stocks Report and the Acreage Report. McBride said the acreage numbers will definitely have a bit of an impact, but the markets are waiting with bated breath for those grain stocks.
McBride also provided some advice for producers to help them navigate the churning waters of the current ag marketplace.
