The importance of trade missions for U.S. red meat exports

by | Dec 18, 2023 | 5 Ag Stories, News

Newly elected U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Chair Randy Spronk is looking forward to continuing his career of advocating for the U.S. meat industry. A past president of the National Pork Producers Council and the Minnesota Pork Producers Association, Spronk has had connections with the USMEF for much of his robust career.

Since 1999, Spronk has been on many trade missions around the globe, which he said are increasingly important for the U.S. red meat industry.

These trade trips help industry leaders find the greatest value destinations for every cut of meat.

Looking into the future, Spronk said they’re going to pursue more free trade agreements.

Spronk added that attaining these goals will add value to every sector of the ag industry.
