Whether your planters are rolling or the ground is still frozen, it?s that time of year to review your plans for Spring and make sure you?re ready to pivot if needed. Chris Turner, U.S. Country Division Head for Bayer, is reminding growers to take care of their fields and themselves for this upcoming planting season.
?This time of year is a busy one for many, as planting is well underway in the southern part of the U.S. and soon will be across the Midwest and the northern geographies as well,? Turner said. ?There’s a lot of things that are moving, we just need to keep safety top of mind. First and foremost, on farm safety is always important. But also, we want to keep our personal health in mind as well. And so, just want to make sure that we remind folks that if you see something out of the ordinary that you take action, take the precautionary steps that are needed to be taken.?
Turner said Bayer?s Health for All and Hunger for None provides a unique opportunity to prioritize health for both farmers and consumers.
?You know, at Bayer, our vision is around Health for All and Hunger for None, and it’s a unique time for us within Bayer Crop Science because there are three different divisions within Bayer as a whole,? Turner said. ?There’s crop science, which I have an opportunity to participate in, but there’s also our pharmaceutical and consumer health side of our business, as well. And again, that just provides a really unique opportunity to make sure that we keep customer health, farmer health, top of mind in everything that we do and bring that into conversations as much as possible.?
Turner also took the time to thank farmers for being Bayer customers.
?Again, we’re getting ready to go into a busy time of the year and we’ve been talking about the ?23 crop and preparing for it for a long time,? Tuner said. ?Every farmer has all kinds of opportunities and choices to make, and if you made a choice that involves Bayer Crop Science, I just want to say thank you, and I wish you the best of planting seasons and a prosperous 2023.?
