My husband is a bow hunter. I didn’t know people still shot with a bow and an arrow until I met him.
I now own my own bow, and I enjoy shooting at a target every now and again.
I don’t always shoot very straight, but I think Jesus did.
Did I just say Jesus was good at archery? Bare with me!
The woman at the well just needed water, but Jesus told her what she needed most.
The paralytic man needed to be able to walk, but Jesus told him what he needed to walk the streets of gold.
Peter just needed to catch fish for food, but Jesus taught him how to be a fisher of men.
David needed to tend to his sheep, Jesus taught him to tend to his kingdom.
We can always count on Jesus to shoot us straight.
Jesus was and is, always honest with us about what we need most.
Jesus see’s beyond what we are asking for, and see’s what thing need deeper…Him.
Jesus was and is a straight shooter. He shows us the target of what we truly need to be aiming for.
Prayer: “Jesus, thank you for shooting me straight and being honest with what things I need to adjust in my life. Thank you for knowing what I need more than I do. In your name I pray, Amen.”
