Biologicals are among the many new tools farmers can use on their farms. But with any new products, it’s important to make sure you’re getting something of a high quality that will provide the maximum benefit for your farm. Jacob Parnell, head agronomist at Biome Makers, will be delivering a workshop on the benefits of biologicals and how to navigate the marketplace on Wednesday, July 31st. Parnell said biologicals can play a huge role in modern agriculture and sustainability, but implementing them on farms is different than what farmers are used to.
Parnell said biologicals offer a more proactive approach to managing soil health.
When it comes to looking for biological products, Parnell said it’s important to navigate the marketplace with caution.
Parnell added that Biome Makers has a test to help farmers figure out what they need for their soil microbiomes.
