At this point of the fall, we can analyze the data and debate the final corn yield number but until the crop is in the bin, we won’t have our final answer. What we do know is that this fall’s corn crop is going to be very large and possibly even a record crop.
Geoff Cooper is the president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association and he tells the Iowa Ag Radio Network that farmers are voicing their concerns about corn demand.
Cooper says that historically, the ethanol industry has helped to keep the demand for corn in balance.
He adds that nationwide E15 sales would be the biggest immediate boost to corn demand and would help to move this year’s massive crop.
