The state of Iowa has received consistent rainfall this summer and created concerns about fungal disease pressure for the stretch run of the growing season. Fungicide use has continued to increase in recent years and that has built some worries about fungicide resistance.
Mark Storr is a BASF technical service representative, and he says one of the best ways to ease concerns about the efficacy of fungicide is to choose a fungicide with multiple modes of action.
Storr says that multiple modes of action are better able to battle resistant fungal disease. If one mode of action fails, the others are still able to effectively combat disease.
