It goes without saying that if you live in an agricultural state like Iowa, the animals are going to steal the show at the Iowa State Fair. But when it comes to those livestock barns, nothing captures the interest of young and old like the big animals. Last night the World?s Super Bull was crowned, and the winner was ?Little Bill?, owned by D&D Angus out of Danville, Iowa.

When you first catch a glimpse of Little Bill, you notice that he is anything but little. He tipped the scales at 3,040 pounds. That is a ton and a half of beef right there. Little Bill?s owner is Danny Beckman. He tells us about this amazing animal.

While the contestant bulls were coming into the barns yesterday, foot traffic was stopped to protect fairgoers and animals alike. When Little Bill was coming off his trailer, I heard a North Carolina farmer visiting the fair say, ?Compared to that guy, our bulls are pee-wees.? Raising an animal like Little Bill is anything but ordinary. Beckman tells us what goes into raising a bull to this size.

So, what is next for Little Bill? Beckman tells us that Bill will be going on a diet and then heading back to his normal duties at the cattle operation.

You can come to see Little Bill, the big boar, the big ram, and so much more at the Iowa State Fair, going on now until August 22nd.
