History of the station:
KLEM sign-on in 1954. Owned by Paul and Patty Olson from 1961-1999. Most of the current daily program initiated by Ole Olson. Purchased by Powell Broadcasting in July of 1999.
KLEM is a full service with emphasis on local news, community events, local sports, mix of oldies, contemporary and country music.
KLEM serves the community with local news and local sports coverage including ballgame play-by-play, continuous weather updates and live severe weather coverage.
KLEM’s ag coverage includes Houly commodity reports, the Price Discovery reports with Colonel John, reports from the Iowa Agri-Business Network, and a full half hour of ag news during the noon hour which includes the Succesful Farming Radio Magazine, Orion Samuelson, the local grain report, and more.
