So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. -Psalm 90:12
I don’t know how many people in the last few months I have practically said I don’t have time for them.
Things I am often caught saying are “I’m too busy.” “I don’t have time this week.” “If I had more time..”
The other day I heard the quote, “If the devil can’t make us really bad, he’ll try to make us really busy.”
Yikes. Guilty. What about you?
Most of us are living at a pace that is unsustainable and unbiblical.
When we over schedule ourselves in the belief that we can do everything, we stop being human and we start trying to be godlike. That’s not only impossible, but also incredibly arrogant.
I’m learning that we have enough time to do everything God wants us to do.
We don’t need more time, we need to use the time we already have differently.
Today, tell yourself the truth, either it’s not a priority and you’re guarding your time for a good reason, or you simply aren’t willing to choose to spend your time on it.
Don’t miss the majority of God’s blessing because you’re too busy to notice them.
Prayer: “God, thank you for revealing to me the things I miss out on, and more importantly how much I miss out on you by staying busy. Help me to use the time you have given me wisely. Amen.”
