News broke this morning of a trade deal that was made between the U.S. and the UK. This has many people excited for the U.S.-China trade talks that are going to happen this weekend. However, Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride said to not get too excited for a deal to get done this weekend, as this is just the beginning of trade discussions with China.
McBride also noted that there’s no guarantee that these trade deals will be supportive for agriculture specifically.
Fortunately, the UK deal is likely going to be supportive for both the cattle and ethanol industries.
