The Iowa State Fair brings hundreds of thousands of people to the fairgrounds each day of the fair- many of whom are several generations removed from the farm. This provides a fantastic opportunity to educate more people on the practices farmers use across the state to produce all of the feed, fuel, and fiber that consumers depend on every day. Iowa Farm Bureau President Brent Johnson said they are working hard to promote the conservation practices that Iowa farmers use every year.

Johnson said many farmers are already pushing new conservation practices- the important part is to make sure consumers are aware of those practices as well so they feel more confident in the products they purchase.
