Iowa Farm Bureau held its 2026 Economic Summit on Friday July 17th at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny on the DMACC campus. Iowa Farm Bureau President Brent Johnson tells the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network that the goal of the Economic Summit was to bring together a wide range of ideas.

He says that when discussing trade, tariffs, and exports the Iowa Farm Bureau wanted to allow attendees to draw their own conclusions and strive towards the end goal of improving profitability.

The Iowa Farm Bureau Economic Summit featured many discussion panels including guests such as former U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Dr. Chad Hart Professor of Economics at Iowa State University, and Gregg Doud President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Milk Producers Federation.
