Recently, the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation launched their online Cash Bid Search tool, which allows farmers to see cash bids for corn and soybeans within a 60-mile radius on a 10-minute delay. Zach Brummer, IFBF’s farmer education program manager, said the tool has been in development for several years.
The differences in price may not seem to be very big at first, but even a one or two-cent difference will add up to a significant increase in profits.
Brummer said the tool will even create charts to make comparing prices even easier for farmers.
Brummer added that the tool is available exclusively to Iowa Farm Bureau members.
