House Agriculture Committee Chairman Mike Conaway and Ranking Member Collin Peterson have sent a letter to Senate leaders encouraging the swift confirmation of Governor Sonny Perdue as the next Secretary of Agriculture. The letter says America?s farmers, ranchers and rural America in general, are facing very serious challenges, and the USDA plays the lead role in responding to these challenges and absolutely must have someone at the helm.
