While the Farm Bill is still one of the top priorities for Congress right now, there are still plenty of other legislative efforts going on at the same time. Iowa Congresswoman Ashley Hinson said Congress has voted to condemn the EPA?s WOTUS rule, and they?re going to continue to push back against it.
The foreign purchasing of U.S. farmland- particularly by the CCP- has also been a major point of concern. Hinson said that these purchases are too dangerous to remain unchecked and untracked.
Hinson said she?s also been proud to reintroduce the bipartisan PRECISE Act, which will help farmers get their hands on new precision ag technology.
Hinson added that she?s been continuing to host her town hall discussions, and she encourages producers to speak up and let her know what they want to see in the next Farm Bill.
