Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa is continuing to seek President Trump’s support of Grassley’s bipartisan year-round E15 legislation. Grassley says that at a time when farmers are set to receive aid because of the trade war and low prices for commodities, year-round E15 sales need legislation.
Grassley says that legislation which allows for year-round E15 sales would immediately boost demand for corn.
He adds that permanent legislation is needed instead of year-to-year waivers because legislation would allow fuel retailers to update their infrastructure to distribute E15.
Senator Grassley made his comments on Thursday during his weekly ag conference call with farm broadcasters and reporters.
