As soybean growers voice their frustrations due to low prices for their crops and rising input prices United States Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) says he plans to speak with USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins about the need for aid.

Grassley says that legislation may be needed or aid disbursed in the form of funds from the Commodity Credit Corporation.

With the United States biggest international soybean market, China, not purchasing U.S. soybeans the problem has intensified for growers. The American Soybean Association recently wrote President Trump, stressing the need for relief as the trade and tariff war with China continues.

In other row crop news, Senator Grassley says that his year-round E15 bill would be a huge boost to the price of corn and could be a part of the year-end spending bill.

Senator Grassley made his comments on Wednesday during his weekly ag conference call with farm broadcasters and reporters.
