President-elect Donald Trump has announced Brooke Rollins as his pick for ag secretary when the new administration takes office in January. Rollins is a former White House aide that served with President Trump during his first term in office. Rollins is the current president and CEO of the America First Policy Institute.
United States Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) says that he will have many questions for Rollins during Senate hearings to gauge her viewpoints on the issues that affect America’s farmers.
Grassley says that his initial impressions of President-elect Trump’s pick to lead USDA are favorable.
Senator Grassley made his comments on Tuesday during his weekly ag conference call with farm broadcasters and reporters.
